Many will have a hx of substance use, commercial sex work, homelessness, incarceration, and/or sexual abuse.
Studies found that African-American transgender women are more likely to become infected than white transgender women

What is gender dysphoria?
People who experience discomfort or distress because their biological sex at birth is contrary to the gender they identify w/ are diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria
A diagnosis is necessary to receive medical intervention for a gender transition

Be respectful
Identify the person w/their chosen name & pronoun
Ask if you don’t know
Be an advocate
Not all care revolves around LGBTQ+ specific care (they get sick too)
