Cellular Level

A
  • Molecules come together to form organelles which carry out different functions within the cell e.g. digestion.
  • Organelles group together to form cells.
  • The body contains many different types of cells each with a specific function.

Tissue Level

A
  • groups of similar cell types come together to form different types of tissue.
  • 4 Primary types of tissue in the body.
  • Epithelial tissue, cover surface of the body
  • Connective tissue, connects and supports the organs of the body
  • Muscular tissue, aids in movement and generates heat.
  • Nervous tissue, carries information from one part of the body to another through impulses
  • Adipose tissue, fatty tissue.
