A
  • Heart acts as a muscular pump to ensure adequate blood flow throughout the body.
  • Transport of oxygen, nutrients and hormones to body cells through the blood.
  • Removal of metabolic waste from cells.
  • Protection of the body by circulating defensive white blood cells and antibodies from foreign materials.
