What is nominal data?
Data that can be classified into categories, if something is in one category it cannot be in another.
What is an example of nominal data?
‘Pick your favourite film, ‘Tangled’, ‘Annie’ or ‘Frozen’?
What is ordinal data?
The data is ranked or ordered, and is based on a subjective opinion.
What is an example of ordinal data?
A judge rating participants on their dancing skills in a competition from 1 - 10.
What is interval data?
Data is measured on a scale.
What is an example of interval data?
Shoe size, PH scale, or IQ scores.
What is ratio data?
Data that has the same properties as interval data, yet has a true zero.
What is an example of ratio data?
Weight, height, length etc.
