Affect the outer layer and part of the second layer of skin
Signs and symptoms include: Blisters Reddening of the skin Pain Fluid loss may cause complications
3rd degree burns
Affect the full thickness of skin (both layers and possibly underlying structures)
Signs and symptoms include:
Charred, dry or pale skin
Fluid loss may be a complication
Skin closures are to remain on for how many days
7 to 10 days
Sprain advice (3)
Whenever possible, elevate the limb
Continue to apply cold for 10 minutes periods
Remove the crêpe bandage for sleeping
