Q

List the ways Medea helped Jason.

A

Medea gave Jason the magic salve to beat the fire-breathing bulls without fear. She tricked her brother so Jason could kill him and the king would have to stop the pursuit. She also disguised herself as an ugly withch and sold magic herbs to the king’s daughter as a plot to kill him so Json could take the throne.

Q

Why was Daedalus in prison, how did he escape, and what happened to him and his son?

A

King Minos believed that only Daedalus could have helped Theseus solve the labyrinth. Daedalus made two pairs of wings out of wax for himself and his son, Icarus. Icarus flew too close to the sun, melted his wings, and drowned after plunging into the sea. Daedalus flew to the island of Sicily where he was warmly welcomed by the king.
