Q

Why was Daedalus in prison, how did he escape, and what happened to him and his son?

A

King Minos believed that only Daedalus could have helped Theseus solve the labyrinth. Daedalus made two pairs of wings out of wax for himself and his son, Icarus. Icarus flew too close to the sun, melted his wings, and drowned after plunging into the sea. Daedalus flew to the island of Sicily where he was warmly welcomed by the king.
