lesson 22 Flashcards
6.5 muscles of the arm are innervated by what nerve? and what nerve innervates the hand
median nerve arms or forearm
and the ulnar nerve 1.5 muscles are innervated by this nerve
anterior to the ulna and is the only one that is innervated by the ulnar nerve
what is the common flexor origin?
it is known as the medial epicondyle of the humerus
- none of these muscles originate from the elbow joint that means none of them produce movement there
- they produce movement at the more distal joints
anterior interosseous nerve innervates the deeper muscles
but out exception is flexor digitorum profundus, which is innervates by he anterior interosseus nerve and the ulnar nerve
what is the pathway of anterior interosseus nerve?
It arises from median nerve between the two heads of pronator teres then it goes anterior to the interosseus membrane between flexor palmaris longus and flexor digitorum profundus
- it termentates at pronantor quadralis
