Lesson 17 Flashcards
Ministry can’t just be a hobby, a part-time endeavour, or something to do - what must it become?
Our identity
What is at the centre of an effective ministry?
A healthy person
What are we doing when we deliver a message?
We are communicating part of ourselves
The higher you rise in leadership, the more…?
…responsibility that you assume for yourself.
Leaders are stewards of what God has given them. What is a steward?
A manager, not an owner.
List five (5) aspects of being a good steward of the ministry God has given you:
a. You are a manager of what God has given you
b. You are God’s gift to the church
c. You will not have a successful ministry simply because you are called
d. You need a very clear sense of calling
e. You must complete your ministry
How is success determined and how is it measured?
Success is determined every day - it is measured in faithfulness until the day you die.
What does every significant endeavour require?
A plan
What cannot fail?
The law of the harvest
Finish this sentence: “Time spent in preparation…?
…is not wasted.”
What will you be judged on?
Not by how well you do in comparison with someone else, you’ll be judged on whether you were faithful with what God gave you.
What will happen if you sow faithfulness?
You will eventually reap promotion, reward and results.
