a. Conquest model - thinking of vision in dynamic, linear terms: moving, doing, going and achieving.
b. Pastoral model - thinking of vision as existential (a way of being). In addition to seeing what we can do in the future, a leader must also see who we are in the present.
What does the absence of a compelling vision for the future lead to?
Stagnation and regression
