What evidence do we have that dinosaurs lived during the same time as people?
There are ancient drawings that are incredibly good representations of dinosaurs, and saft, unfissilized tissue found in dinosaur bones indicate that they cannot be more than a few thousand years old.
What’s the difference between dinosaurs and other reptiles?
Lizards have a sprawling stance, where their legs are positioned out to the sides of the body. Dinosaurs have legs that are more directly under their bodies.
What are the two maingroups of dinosaurs?
Saurishchia and Ornithischia
What are some special features of sauropods?
they were large herbivores that walked on all fours. They usually had a long neck topped with a small head that had nostrils placed on top, close to their eyes.
Which animal does Behemoth best describe and why?
It best describes a sauropod, because it is described as a large animal that has a tail that swings like a cedar. Also, it spent at least some of its time in water, as did many sauropods.
What are some special features of theropods?
theropods waked on two legs and had sharp, serrated teeth. They typically had five fingers and five toes, and there were usually three large fingers or toes and two smaller ones. Their toes all had claws, but usually only the three long fingers had claws.
In which group of dinosaurs is stegosaurus placed?
Ornithischian placed in the thyreophora group
In which group are the duck-billed dinosaurs placed?
they were ornithopods put in the hadroaur group
What are some possilbe reasons for the extinction of dinosaurs?
The Flood-induced ice age might have killed them off. Some must have survived, but they were probably hunted to extinction.
