  • Quantitative data often comes in the form of numbers. It is objective and can be measured.
  • Qualitative data is more opinion-based. It is subjective, and cannot be measured statistically.

Qualitative Data-Interviews

A
  • Interviews can generate detailed insights about a person’s sense of place or perception of place.
  • They are first-hand or direct reports of experiences, opinions and feelings.
  • Interviewer bias may affect the responses of the interviewee by using leading questions.
