Flabbergasted
Amazed or astonished completely. EX: She was flabbergasted by his response to Her dilemma.
Deliberate
To consider something carefully and in detail. example: the jury had to deliberate before they made a decision
Scorch
To burn the surface of something. EX: the man was inexperienced and scorched his shirt.
Apprehensive
Afraid that something bad will happen. EX: Jonas was apprehensive in the giver.
Cower
To cringe or move backwards in fear. EX: the children are cowering in fear.
Concede
To admit or acknowledge something. EX: US wants Gadhafi to concede defeat
Pique
Arouse someone’s interest. EX: Do these pictures pique your interest?
Regal
Royal especially grand. EX: The regal objects are impressive
Convene
To call people together for a formal meeting. EX: Rocketplane’s engineering team convenes a meeting in late 2004.
Ferocious
Very fierce or savage. EX: ferocious animals tend to be scary.
