Id, Ego, Superego
Satisfy a man’s desire without thinking much about the situation
Id
Operates according to reality which makes it possible for the Id to work in a more proper and satisfactory ways.
Ego
Holds our moral judgements or concept of right and wrong that
are believed to be acquired from the family and the environment
Superego
the way people think about themselves
it is learned
it is organized
it is dynamic
SELF-CONCEPT
Individual’s conscious description of who he is. includes a person’s name, gender, ethnicity, family status, occupation, and roles.
Identity
Individual’s perception of physical self including appearance, function, and ability. it is dynamic because any change in body structure or function, including the normal changes of growth and development, can affect it.
Body image
It is a personal opinion of oneself and is shaped by individuals’
relationships with others, experiences, and accomplishments
in life. It is derived from a sense of giving and receiving love and being respected by others.
Self-esteem
It refers to a set of expected behaviors determined by familial, cultural, and social norms. Whenever a person is unable to fulfill role responsibilities, self-concept is impaired.
