Researchers should always allow the open exchange of ideas, methods, data, and analysis in the pursuit of new knowledge, through working and acting in a collaborative and constructive manner in the name of pluralism and inclusiveness. In espousing excellence, researchers initiate opportunities for discussion and debate. The University supports this endeavor through providing venues and mechanisms for its application.
Unity
The conduct of research at the University shall be pursued along the concepts of beneficence and nonmaleficence, wherein researchers should always take into account the general welfare of the research participants and the community at large in realizing the beneficial outcome. Misuse of research work and the researchersโ influence shall be avoided at all times. Researchers have a duty to make certain that no harm is done to the community that they serve and work with. Researchers should uphold the dignity, safeguard the rights, guarantee the safety, and sustain the welfare of all involved in or affected throughout the conduct of research.
