Lenses Flashcards
What deflects the Suns solar wind radiation
The earths magnetic feild
What is electro magnetic spectrum and how created
Sun constantly exploding inside self, make energy for solar wind, heat rises, goes to edge of sun, so much energy pushes through releases heat into universe, it’s the solar wind from sun
Light travels how fast
186,000 miles per second
What cause rainbow
All colors combine make white light, and a convex lens slows it down and breaks it into different wave lengths so it separates the light and causes ROY G. BIV
Felt as heat
Infrared light
Causes sunburn
Ultra violet light UV light
Deflect
Causes something to change direction by interposition something
Disperse
Distribute or spread over a wide area
Light travels in
Straight lines
Wavy lines
Why image upside down
When the light rays hit the convex lens, they come together at the focal point. Then they continue on and when they continue on, they switch sides because light travels in a straight line so they crossed each other so they image is upside down
Image on white card
Light is always in the air when it travels through a convex lens it projects an image into the air then when it hits an object the object can be seen, it will be seen clearer if the object is at its focal point
Concave lens…
Diffracts light
