Kerensky’s determination to play into the war offensively helped B

= uncontrollable rioting for 5 days with worker, sailors + soldiers
food + fuel shortage → 500+ factories closed + 100,000 losses their jobs
20,000 armed sailors from Kronstadt joined ppl in the streets + demanded soviet takeover
lack of leadership → troops loyal to soviet dispersed crowds
Pgov released letter blaming B saying Lenin was paid by Germans
= Lenin exiled + Trotsky arrested + Bnews closed → major setback
