How does fertility and testosterone levels of older males change?
There is no end to fertility, but sperm production decreases after about 40 years old.
There is a gradual decrease in testosterone after 55 years.
What is cystitis?
Inflammation of the urinary bladder
What is scrotal hydrocele?
Build up of fluid in the scrotal sac
What is hypospadias?
When the urethral meatus lays on the underside on the penis instead of central on the glans
What is epidpadias?
When the urethral meatus lays on the topside of the penis shaft instead of central on the glans
What is phimosis?
Unretractable foreskin
–> Can be difficult to clean and lead to infection
What is paraphimosis?
Foreskin stuck in retracted position
–> Can cut off circulation, medical emergency
What is an inguinal hernia?
When intestines snake through a hole in musculature wall. Inguinal occurs above pubis and above ligament.
What is a femoral hernia?
When intestines snake through a hole in musculature wall. Femoral occurs below pubis and below inguinal ligament.
When does menopause occur?
Usually between 48-51 years
What is amenorrhea and menorrhagia?
Absence of menstruation cycle
Heavy bleeding during mensuration
What might costavertebral angle tenderness or pain mean?
Might indicate referred kidney pain
What might cause amber coloured urine?
B-complex vitamins
What might orange coloured urine indicate?
Might be a medication side effect or a result of some food dyes or laxatives.
May also indicate bilirubinemia (jaundice)
What might tea coloured urine indicate?
Might indicate liver disease
