Q

Requirements of Confirmatory factor Analysis

A

1-Requires strong prior knowledge concerning the factor structure
1- How many factors are there
2- Whether the factors are correlated
3-Which items load on which factors?

Q

Advantage of confirmatory factor analysis?

A

1- Hypothesis testing
2-fewer parameter to estimat ( prior knowledge)
3- rotation is not necessary
4- flexible ( correlated residuals, second order factor)
5- standard erros and goodness of fit measure ( test weather the factor loadings are statistically signiifcant, test the model statistically)
