A group of interconnected computers

What is an IP address?
A
Identifies each computer or device connected to the internet
Consists of four numbers with in between them and the numbers range from 0 to 255

What does TCP do?
A
Breaks webpage into packets of bytes

What is TLD?
A
Identifies the ending of the Domain name
Example: .com or .org etc

Four steps for setting up a website:
A
- Choose a Domain Name
- Order Web Hosting
- Meet with the Client
- Begin building the website

Web Server
A
Contains all the web pages for a company or individual (sometimes the machine is called a host)

Web Pages
A
Are stored on the web server machine, they are just files

A
It really a folder containing all of the web pages
