What is involved in the process of fetal androgenisation?
The male and the female uterus intertwine causing exchanging of hormones. As a result the female animal develops male like characteristics
Why are the agent organ changes generally passed on generation to generation?
The changes result in chromosomal germ line abnormalities that are passed on in generation
What is the effect of teratogenic plants?
Embryonic death, craniofacial defects, adenohyphyseal hypoplasia or aplasia
What effect does maternal diabetes have on congenital abnormalities?
Typically leads to 3-4x increase in risk of congenital abnormalities
If only one allele of mutated gene occurs at an individual locus point what is the chance that the offspring will inherit the mutated gene for autosomal dominent and autosomal reccesive disorders ?
50% chance each offspring (autosomal dominant disorders)
25% chance each offspring (autosomal recessive disorders)
