Q

What are the main things that influence decision making?

A

Two systems
System 1 - rapid, unconcious, retrieval, (dominant, more error prone )
System 2 - slow, conscious, deliberate (normally if things are harder to work out)

  • In harder cases - good to have time to reflect, in easier cases - often more time causes overthinking so stick with what you originally had
  • experience is also important factor
