A
  • homework club/centers for the kids
  • Xmas party
  • gathered young people, uniting pacific voice. Developed survival programs
  • developed the legal aid booklet with the help of David Longley to educate Pacific people on their rights
  • TAB( Tenants Aid Brugade) organized rent strikes: “ do not pay rent to the landlord until the house is brought up to living conditions”
  • P.I.G patrol( police investigation group)
  • Paremoremo prison visits( bus to prison)
  • concerts/outings for seniors
  • taking delivery, post, lawn-mowing for seniors
  • protests: dawn raids, Vietnam war, Maori Land March, Bastion Point

What did David Longley do?

A
  • well before becoming prime minister, helped write the Panther’s legal aid pamphlet.( policeman cannot arrest if not in full uniform)
  • Pathers used this and formed the police investigation group Pig Patrol for Short.
  • he was one of New Zealand’s best criminal lawyers, and it handled many of the litigation fallout for our members on various charges.
