what are some different methods of reflecting?
- reflective journal [return to experience- work through it. ] +cathartic
- critical incident:
-event is important, negative or positive,
-distance from the event and debriefing will create new understanding - creative expression:
-drawing/dancing
what to reflect upon within practice?
- hair raising moments
-heart warming moments
-toe-curling moments
-stomach dropping moments
what are the challenges and barriers to being a reflective practitioner?
- time - you need to actively set aside time for reflection
- psychological barriers- you may fear judgement an for criticism, arrogance.
