A

Associative agnosia individuals have different perception from normal, they struggle with dealing with shapes with occlusion (parts left out) earlier than normal.

What is the bottom up theory for pattern perception?

A

The bottom-up theory is that everything is taken apart into its individual parts are built up again. This is evidenced by: the way the visual system is constructed, this can have errors and confusion.

What is the top Down theory for pattern perception?

A

The top-Down theories (hypothesis testing (is there enough information there to prove this)). This is evidenced by speed of recognition and reading, and is also the reason for ambiguous and reversible figures.
