Mixed bitumen and turpentine that made a black paint that is photosensitive (1826)
What is the process of doing photography?
- He used a tin-plate that is covered in bitumen
- Inserting the tin-plate to the camera obscura

What is the collodian process?
A glass that is pre-manufactured that is coated with gun cotton. The gun cotton is made of mixed nitric acid and sulfuric acid. This was sent to the factory that is covered in black paper to prevent light.
What is the impact of collodian process?
It no longer require the tin-plate and bitumen process
What else did Fredrick Scott Archer invent?
He introduces collodian (negative) and albumen print (positive) that has excellent tonal range.
Albumen print is made of egg whites and silver dust
How was Fredrick Scott Archer forgotten?
He was forgotten as he didn’t care about money
Who took Fredrick Scott Archer’s invention?
Dizdari, a photographer, that would mass produce albumen print and rename it as Carte de Visite (1854)

What did Kodak invent in 1975?
Digital cameras
What is the tape?
It’s a magnetic tape that can store data
What was invented in 1986?
Kodak introduce workable microprocessor or megapixel DCS sensor, which convert light into digital picture.
Who made the first commercial cameras?
Nikon as Kodak would make their product commercial in 1991
What did Nikon F3 (1991) use?
It used Kodak’s DCS sensor
What was produce in 1994?
