where do eggs/ovum mature in?
in ovaries
what is estradiol?
the primary estrogen in females
what does a surge in LH causes?
causes follicle to rupture and expel secondary oocyte into fallopian tubes
what happens to corpus luteum if there’s a lack of estrogen and progesterone ?
no estrogen or progesterone to maintain endometrium= corpus luteum degenerates and it is shed.
what inhibits both FSH and LH?
low levels of estrogen
Where is estrogen produced from?
follicles and corpus luteum.
why is the scrotum outside the abdominal cavity?
to lower temperature since necessary for sperm production
