High tensile strength
durable
poor heat & electricity conduction
high chemical resistance
flame retardant
animal and vermin deterrent
Products including asbestos
Filters, mattresses, roofing shingles, brake pads and linings, ship and building insulation
Drawbacks of Asbestos
Airborne asbestos fibers are considered inhalation hazards.

Blinded by advantages and benefits, willingly ignorant of risks or issues, justifying use even after health issues revealed
