Define behaviour
anything you say or do; action, activity, response
Two types of behaviour
overt- observable, and covert- not directly observable
dimensions of bh
rate, duration, intensity, latency
define behaviour modification
systemic application of principles and techniques to assess and improve overt and cover behaviours of individuals to improve daily functioning
What is behavioural language
communicating about concepts using behavioural references, avoids pseudo explanations of behaviour
Target Behaviours
Identified as problematic or in need of improvement
Types of target behaviours
Excess- too much of this behaviour
Deficit- not enough of this behaviour
Behaviour mod outcomes are
observable behaviour change
behavioural stimuli
people/objects/events in one’s environment
