The fourth step of self-betrayal
When I betray myself, I enter into the box.
The fifth step of self-betrayal.
Over time, certain boxes become characteristic of me, and I carry them with me.
The sixth step of self-betrayal.
By being in the box, I provoke others to be in the box.
The seventh step of self-betrayal.
In the box, invite mutual mistreatment and obtain mutual justification. We collude in giving each other reason to stay in the box.
Perceptions when inside the box vs outside the box
When we are in the box people are objects and labels. Outside the box, they are people with thoughts and feelings.
Ways we get out of the box.
See people as people and look for our own box, not others’ boxes.
