The leader or manager just informs the employees of his/her decisions. AUTOCRATIC.
2) Sell
When a leader or manager makes a decision but attempt it make decision to employees. Suggests that there is some consideration rather than ‘telling them’. Shows feedback.
3) Consult
Goes a step further, than ‘sell’.
The leader presents ideas to employees and invites discussion. More collaborative approach. Leader may listen to employees.
4) Participate
Focus on employees, not leader.
Leader or manager may ask employees to make a decision. There are defined limits/boundaries.
More democratic style.
