What is leadership?
Leadership is the ability to guide, influence, and inspire others to achieve common goals or objectives.
- Autocratic Leadership
The leader makes decisions unilaterally, with little input from team members.
Advantages: Quick decision-making, clear direction.
Disadvantages: Can demotivate employees, limits creativity and input.
- Democratic Leadership/Participative Style
The leader involves team members in the decision-making process, seeking their input and feedback.
Advantages: Encourages teamwork and creativity, employees feel valued.
Disadvantages: Can be time-consuming, decision-making may be slower.
3.Laissez-Faire Leadership
Definition: The leader provides minimal direction and allows employees to make decisions on their own.
Advantages: Encourages independence, promotes creativity and innovation.
Disadvantages: Lack of guidance can lead to confusion or lack of focus, some employees may feel unsupported.
Charismatic Leadership
The leader uses their charm, enthusiasm, and energy to inspire and motivate followers.
Advantages: Builds strong emotional connections, inspires loyalty and dedication.
Disadvantages: Can create dependency on the leader, may struggle to maintain long-term effectiveness if the leader leaves.
