The ability to influence others towards the attainment of goals.
Management vs Leadership
Management promotes order, and problem solving: TASK ORIENTED
Leadership motivates toward vision and change: PEOPLE ORIENTED
Leadership cannot replace management, there should be a balance of both
What is level 5 leadership?
Level-five leadership refers to the highest level in a hierarchy of manager capabilities (humility, credit other people etc).
What is servant leadership?
Work exists for the development of the worker. Servant leaders transcend self-interest to serve others. Servant leaders give away power, ideas, information, recognition, credit, and money.
What is authentic leadership?
Leaders who know and understand themselves. Inspire trust and commitment

What are the contingency approaches of leadership?
Situational Model of Leadership: adapting your leadership style to each unique situation or task to meet the needs of the team or team members.
Fielder’s Contingency Theory: the extent to which the leader’s style is relationship oriented or task oriented.
What is charismatic/visionary leadership?
Visionary leaders speak to the hearts of employees to be a part of something big
