What do directors do?
A
Senior managers who head major functional departments and are responsible for its operations.

What do Managers do?
A
Responsible for people, resources or decision making. Can often be all three or just one. They direct motivate and discipline staff in their section.

Appointed by managers. Keep an eye on workers
Modern day is now a position that is more of a college then an inspector.
Try to promote cooperation to achieve business objectives.
