Multiplier effect = money earned from taxes is reinvested in the area
What were the failures of the LDC?
Failed to bring economic prosperity = docks are 15 mins away from the CBD = retail space was vacated as shops returned to the CBD

Apartments fluctuate in price = 2007: £179,950 2013: £120,000 2018: £183,000
Area is isolated due to inappropriate use
