What is SGSI?
The Stabilized Guide Slope Indicator is a monitor with multi-colored lights, mounted on a platform located on the flight deck side of the Miser Tower approximately 20 feet above the deck. This gives the pilot a visual indication of the helicopter’s position in reference to the preferred glide slope for landing.

What does a green SGSI mean?
Green indicates that the helicopter is too high
What does a amber SGSI mean?
Amber indicates the helicopter is on glide slope
Wave-off light system
Two red lights on either side of the SGSI. These lights will flash to indicate unsafe conditions to the pilot.
