  • During flight above FL250, each cabin attendent must carry portable oxygen containing at least 15mins supply

or

  • if CASA are satisfied, sufficient portable oxygen units distrubuted thoughout the cabin

Supplemental oxygen for passengers

A

Must provide:

  • 10% of the passengers with oxygen during all periods when the cabin altitude is above 10000’ and upto and including FL140

and

  • each passenger with oxygen diring all periods when the cabin pressure altitude exceeds FL140

or

  • each passenger with 10mins supply, whichever is greater

  • Aircaft must carry sufficient first aid oxygen to supply 1% of the passengers with such oxygen for the entire duration of flight

Protective breathing equipment for flight crew

A

Must provide:

  • PBE for each flight crew member duty station, being capable of 15mins supply, and
  • A PBE on or immediately adjacent to the flight deck

Protective breathing equipment for cabin attendents

A

Must provide units equal to:

  • Number of held fire extinguishers, or
  • Number of cabin attendents, whichever is less

Must be:

  • Located adjacent to hand held fire extinguishers, and
  • readily accessible, and
  • installed with the equipment requirements specified in the certification standards
