- Glottis: From true VC to horizontal plane 5mm below
- Sub glottis : from horizontal plane to inferior border of cricoid

Innervation
A
Motor: CN IX
-Supplies all muscles except the cricothyroid muscle
-This is supplied by the external laryngeal nerve
Sensory:
-Supraglottic: internal laryngeal nerve
-Subglottic and glottic: recurrent laryngeal nerve
