Children with DLD

A

A disorder that affects comprehension & use of spoken or written language as well as non- verbal language in both children & adults.
Children for whom language impairments are the most salient presenting challenge, for whom the biological cause of the disorder is not yet known, and for whom no other diagnostic label is appropriate.

A

Children of school age with primary DLD that co-exists with literacy disorder (dyslexia & poor reading comprehension)

A

Persistent difficulties with reading, writing and maths
Eg. Dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia - in the absence of impaired language/cognitive skills

A

An inherited condition that makes it extremely difficult to read, write, and spell in your native language— despite at least average intelligence. A subtype of Learning Disability
