What are Grice’s 4 conversational maxims?

A

Quality – not lying on purpose, and speaking with what you believe to be true.
Quantity – Not withdrawing information that is relevant to the conversation, also not bombarding the peer with information.
Relevance – only say things relevant to the conversation.
Manner– clear, concise and orderly. Prevent using overly complex words.
