A

Pony

How can you treat chronic laminitis?

A
  • Therapeutic shoeing –> dorsal hoof wall resection, heart bar shoe, reversed horse shoe
  • Deep digital flexor tenotomy–> last resort
  • Plaster of Paris for acute cases
  • Putting horse in stall with sand
  • Euthanasia to relieve suffering
