This is available but not always free and there are long queues to see the doctor. Vaccinations for children are available but have to be paid f0r

The government offers free education for younger children, secondary schools are limited and mostly private

Numbers are just under 10% because most people have jobs in the informal sector, In 2016 the employment trust fund provided loans to help people become self employed

Crime rates are high particularly involving drugs, vandalism and theft. Authorities are trying to spread awareness about other opportunities and options

The authorities collect just 40% of the 10,000 tonnes of waste made, the rest is dumped on huge landfill sites. eg - ollusion dump
What is the pollution like in Lagos?
Air pollution is 5x higher than the international recommended limit, mainly because of the poorly maintained and unregulated veichals
What plans do they have to improve Lagos
- Irregated transport system linking road, rail and waterway
- A new waterway network using Ferries to transport commuters
- More efficient roads with dedicated bus Lanes and fewer street markets
- Mixed - use developments, with commercial and residential uses so that people have less got travel
- A new airport
