• MSM oversimplified,assumes there is only one type of STM and one type of LTM. Research shows several types of STM: phonological loop (verbal info), visuo spatial sketchpad (non verbal info). Several types of LTM - episodic memory (life events), semantic memory ((knowledge and facts), procedural memory (motor skills)
• Baddeley and hitch claimed it doesn’t have ability to multi task. Multi task not possible with only one type of stm.
