Breasts are swollen on 3rd & 4th day & Few drops of milk fluid milk (Witchβs milk) can be expressed from breast
Fate of Mastitis Neonatorum
Disappears spontaneously on 3d week
Incidence of Mastitis of Puberty
More common in males during puberty
CP of Mastitis of Puberty
Etiology of Mandorβs Disease
- Thrombophlebitis of superficial veins of breast & anterior chest wall (Lateral thoracic vein)
Fate of Mastitis of Puberty
Subsides in 2 weeks
TTT of Mandorβs Disease
Self - Limited

Obstruction of duct by dry milk or epithelial debris

Prophylactic: Avoid predisposing factors
Active: As breast cellulitis
