  • 2 x physiological (functional) joints (don’t have joint capsule)
    • subdeltoid

A

where the sternoclavicular ligament (and sometimes also the costoclavicular joint) is torn

  • blood vessels at root of neck suscept to injury - esp. if clavicle is pushed back
