Auriculotemporal nerve: parasymptehtically supplies the parotid nerve

If Parotic gland is damaged, during nerve regrowth attempting to re-innervate the parotic sometimes synapse onto sweat glands instead: Sweat glands have a sympathetic CHOLINERGIC signaling => when a person smells food, chews they then sweat on the cheek
