• Breathing and Ventilation
• Circulation w/ Hemorage Control
• Disability (Neurological Status AVPU)
• Exposure and Environmantal Control - Undress pt. avoiding hypothermia

Neurological Status assessment as part of ATLS?

Answer 2

AVPU

• Alert: questionable confused abt time/place but neurologically normal
• Verbal: Not fully awake. Only responsive to verbal stimuli
• Pain: Difficult to rouse, only responds to painful stimuli
• Unresponsive: Completely unresponsive, NO response

• Obtain ample history
• Check patient from top to toe
