When do we XRay an Ankle?

A

Ottawa Ankle Rules

Ankle Xray is only required if:

  • There is any pain/tenderness in the Medial malleolus OR lateral malleolus
    OR
  • An inability to bear weight immediately and in the ER
    for 4 steps
