The T/O DATASET MENU must be set to REF A/I ALL.

If the MCDU is programmed REF A/I ALL, when will the engine anti-ice valves automatically open?

Answer 2

1) @ REF A/I ALL, the engine anti-ice valves automatically open after the completion of engine start.
2) Wing A/I valves open wheel speed > 40 kts.

Question 3

If the flight crew selected REF A/I OFF and the aircraft encountered icing conditions immediately after takeoff, when would the anti-ice turn on automatically?

Answer 3

A/I automatic @ 1700 ft AGL or 2 minutes after liftoff, whichever occurs first.
