Behavioural/action-based learning mode
Learning occurs primarily through action followed by a process of critical reflection
Single-loop learning process
Incremental changes within a coherent framework of theory
Double-loop learning processes
Learning where existing theories/assumptions are questioned and reflected on
Deutero learning process
The highest level of learning which involves the process of learning and reflection itself being questioned
Individual learning level
Changes in the behavior or theories and concepts of an individual
Group learning level
Changes in group-level, shared understandings or practices
Organizational learning levels
Institutionalization at organizational level of changes in behavior/theory
Inter-organizational learning levels
Learning at supra-organizational level - for example within a network or sector
